Johnson and Johnson MedTech is seeking a proactive and strategic Hospital Operations Manager to lead and enhance operational efficiency within our orthopaedic division. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless management of field inventory, supporting sales initiatives, and optimizing operational sales functions to foster growth and meet the demands of our sales force and healthcare partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Logistics, Operations, Healthcare Management, or related fields, with a focus on inventory management and sales support.
  • Prior experience in leading and managing smaller teams.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects that drive operational improvements and sales growth.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using advanced Excel, Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI for data analysis and visualization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems, particularly SAP.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and standards related to inventory management and supply chain processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in the Medical Device industry is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while managing multiple priorities and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Operations Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies in collaboration with Field Sales to support sales growth objectives. Ensure that all operational processes, particularly in inventory management, are effectively supporting the assigned accounts and field territories.
  • Advanced Analytics and Insights: Analyze operational data to provide insights to Sales Leadership, ensuring informed decision-making. Utilize data-driven approaches to enhance inventory efficiency and address analytical needs across the US Sales leadership.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the management of orthopedic consignment inventory and equipment, ensuring optimal par levels while minimizing waste and excess. Lead inventory rebalancing and allocation strategies to efficiently meet the demands of the business.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Coordinate the launch of new products and their deployment to assigned accounts. Ensure proper resource allocation and support throughout the introduction phase to optimize uptake and sales.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various departments, including Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain, to enhance workflow and efficiency. Work with external stakeholders to align operational activities with commercial strategies.
  • Training and Development: Mentor and train team members on operational protocols, inventory management systems, and compliance standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across departments.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities for operational enhancements, implement best practices in inventory management, and lead process improvement projects that drive efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory and operational efficiency. Regularly report on progress and outcomes to senior management.
  • Market Insights and Responsiveness: Proactively identify and report on market trends that could impact inventory management and sales operations. Adapt strategies to meet changing market conditions and customer needs.
