Position Summary: The Manager of Commercial Finance is responsible for driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making across commercial operations. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing and Product teams to provide actionable insights, optimize pricing strategies and ensure profitable growth. The ideal candidate brings a blend of analytical depth, business acumen and strong cross-functional leadership, while also leading and developing a strong commercial finance team that drives scalable processes, establishes clear operating rhythms, and builds capabilities that enable long-term commercial strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive Finance/FP&A experience, including supporting commercial functions
  • 1-3 years of prior leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of revenue drivers, pricing strategies, and market dynamics
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, etc)
  • Strong financial forecasting and analytics capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of pricing strategy, margin analytics, and customer economics.
  • Proven ability to design, model, and administer sales incentive plans with accuracy and governance.
  • Excellent communication and executive-level presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Business Partnership & Strategy Serve as primary finance partner for Commercial and Product Management leadership, acting as a trusted advisor on growth opportunities, portfolio optimization and customer economics.
  • Translate financial data into actionable insights to guide pricing, promotions, product strategy and channel decisions.
  • Lead strategic planning, long-range planning and annual revenue and margin planning process.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing and Operations on product launches, demand planning and inventory management.
  • Pricing & Margin Management Oversee pricing strategy, discount and special pricing governance and deal-level profitability assessments.
  • Drive insights and initiatives related to product mix, pricing architecture and margin expansion.
  • Global Sales Performance Management & Compensation Administration Lead the administration of global sales compensation payments, including quota-setting methodologies, monthly payout calculations, exception handling and audit controls
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all sales incentive-replated payments, partnering with Payroll and HR as needed.
  • Partner with Sales and HR to ensure plans are clear, motivating and consistently applied across regions, roles and channels.
  • Own point-of-sale (POS) data collection, cleansing, validation and ongoing accuracy management to ensure reliable sales compensation and reporting of channel sales.
  • Partner with Sales, IT and channel partners to resolve discrepancies, maintain data integrity, and enhance data requirements and processes as needed.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis Own revenue, margin and commercial operating expense reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial results, provide variance analysis and commentary, and highlight forward-looking risks and opportunities.
  • Develop financial models and reporting tools supporting commercial execution.
  • Support product management team with the revenue and margin reporting, insights, and analytics.
  • Team Leadership Lead, coach and develop a strong commercial finance team to deliver high-quality analysis, reporting and decision support.
  • Establish clear priorities and operating rhythms to ensure consistent execution and alignment across the team.
