About The Position

About the Role: The Business Development Manager is a key member of Ubique Group’s commercial sales organization, responsible for identifying, qualifying, and activating commercial opportunities across multiple channels and customer types. Success in this role requires persistence, relationship-building, and collaboration across internal teams—Account Management, Inside Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations—to ensure strong outcomes. This position typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of outbound sales and business development experience.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of direct business development or sales experience, ideally in commercial furniture or other durable goods.
  • Proven success acquiring and onboarding new accounts with measurable revenue impact.
  • Strong negotiation and deal-structuring skills; understanding of commercial buying cycles.
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and data-driven, comfortable owning targets independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer programs simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (Salesforce or equivalent).
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to acquire and activate new customers in assigned commercial segments.
  • Prospect, qualify, and advance opportunities through all pipeline stages—from initial outreach to signed agreements, hand-offs, or first order.
  • Maintain an accurate and active pipeline within the CRM, ensuring consistent coverage to exceed quarterly and annual goals.
  • Create and deliver tailored proposals, pricing strategies, and value-based presentations.
  • Meet and exceed KPIs for new revenue, margin contribution, and conversion rates.
  • Provide accurate weekly forecasting and reporting on pipeline progress, close rates, and revenue attainment.
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Inside Sales and Account Management
  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers, intermediaries, and brokers across target markets.
  • Represent Ubique Group at trade shows and industry events to increase brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Monitor competitive activity, customer strategies, and channel trends to surface new business opportunities.
