About The Position

This position is for someone interested in joining a hands-on team at the MaineHealth Institute for Research, which, under the direction of the Director - Clinical Trials Office, will provide leadership and oversight for staff and non-oncology program development. The position is responsible for directing and supporting staff, managing program operations and resources, and contributing to the planning and implementation of the strategic vision for the Clinical Trials Office. This Manager will play a key role in expanding research initiatives in non-oncology areas, with a focus on building sustainable structures through research navigation and program development. This position will collaborate closely with the Director - as well as investigators across MaineHealth hospitals and clinics - to strengthen clinical research infrastructure, foster multidisciplinary engagement, and advance the growth and impact of the Clinical Trials Office. This role will sit onsite at our Scarborough, Maine location with some hybrid capability. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred
  • Professional certification related to Clinical Trials. If none, must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Previous experience in Clinical Trials required
  • Strong experience with management of Clinical Trials in a large-scale academic medical institution.
  • Knowledge of FDA CFRs and ICH GCP guidelines.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work independently with strong attention to detail and superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in collaboration with ancillary committees, investigators, research staff, supporting administration, sponsors, Institutional Review Boards and the Office of Research Ethics and Compliance.
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining accurate results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment.
