About The Position

The Manager Clinical Trials position at Houston Methodist is responsible for overseeing complex research projects within the Academic Office of Clinical Trials. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in scientific discipline/life sciences or nursing (BSN) required; Master's preferred.
• Five years of experience in the field, with at least one year in a managerial role in healthcare.
• CCRC or CCRP certification required within three months for HM employees.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop clinical trials in the Academic Office of Clinical Trials department.
• Supervise research staff to ensure effective planning and coordination of clinical research projects.
• Monitor progress and performance of all projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines.
• Provide guidance to department and HMRI leadership on clinical trial issues.
• Assist in staffing decisions, including hiring and performance evaluations.
• Implement training and operations initiatives to secure compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Plan and organize day-to-day department operations and activities.
• Drive department service standards to enhance patient/customer satisfaction.
• Conduct study operational feasibility assessments and risk assessments.
• Ensure a safe and effective working environment by monitoring safety guidelines.
