The Manager for Clinical & Pastoral Care is responsible for co-directing and evaluating the clinical pastoral education program throughout Penn Medicine Princeton Health (PMPH) with the Director of Spiritual Care and Well-being. Collaborates with hospital administrators to develop and provide 24/7 chaplaincy coverage throughout (PMPH). Educates and supervises clinical work and formation of CPE residents. Supervises and educates CPE interns as needed. Provides clinical and supervisory consultation to ACPE Certified Educator Candidates. Co-directs clinical, compliance, and education needs of staff chaplains, volunteer clergy, and office coordinator. Maintains CPE program accreditation with the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) and the Department of Education. Co-facilitates the hiring and education process for chaplain residents in partnership with HR Recruiters. Responsible for collaborating with Director of Volunteer services to onboard chaplain interns. Provides research and evidence-based chaplaincy education to staff and students throughout PMPH. Co-directs record keeping process for student education materials. Cultivates relationships with community and staff to co-direct and evaluate CPE advisory committee. Responsible for organizing and facilitating Level I and Level II CPE consultations for chaplains to improve their clinical practice in accordance with standards of best practice. Researches, vision-casts, and implements spiritual care and wellness initiatives throughout Penn Medicine Princeton Health. Collaborates with Director of Spiritual Care and Well-being to pursue and implement opportunities that strengthen the organization's position as a market leader through innovative spiritual care and wellness education and practices. Directs day to day operations of staff chaplains, chaplain residents, per diem chaplains, social workers, chaplain interns, certified chaplaincy educators, chaplain educator candidates, and community contacts. Provides direct spiritual care and wellness to staff of Penn Medicine Princeton House locations. Maintains leadership roles throughout ACPE and clergy groups to attract top-talent CPE students. Engage local and global seminaries and non-for-profit organizations to recruit chaplains.
