The Manager Clinical Informatics leads and directs activities relating to clinical systems, and provides input for the design and development of future strategies relating to the deployment and maintenance of clinical systems. The Manager also works as internal consultant to develop consensus with clinical units and specialties to ensure requirements are met by systems and services as well as to provide a link between current state of affairs with future directions by providing gap analysis and implementation plans and strategies. The Manager will present findings and strategies to senior level executives and all clinical staff to include Physicians, Nurses, and other team members while also setting an example by improving the quality, cost, and accessibility of care for all team members and set an example that becomes the standard for quality, efficiency, and health improvements. Under the general direction of the CIO, the Manager provides leadership in identification and planning of all MHUMC clinical information systems; works with management and staff of all nursing and clinical departments to determine clinical application needs; develops and recommends viable alternative solutions; and manages the evaluation, selection, implementation and support of all approved clinical systems.
