About The Position

Job Summary The Manager, Clinical Informatics provides leadership and oversight for clinical informatics initiatives that support the effective use of clinical information systems across the organization. This role serves as a strategic liaison between clinical operations and information technology, ensuring clinical workflows, system design, and optimization efforts align with patient safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory requirements. The Manager, Clinical Informatics leads informatics staff, establishes standards and best practices, and supports enterprise initiatives related to system implementation, optimization, and adoption. Essential Functions Leads, coaches, and supervises clinical informatics staff, supporting performance management, professional development, and workload prioritization. Provides oversight for clinical informatics initiatives across the system lifecycle, including workflow design, testing, validation, implementation, and optimization. Establishes standards for clinical workflows, system readiness, testing methodologies, and adoption processes to support consistency and scalability. Serves as a liaison between clinical stakeholders and information technology teams to ensure clinical needs are accurately represented in system development and deployment. Provides consultative support to clinical leadership, governance groups, and cross-functional partners regarding informatics impacts, risks, and opportunities. Supports enterprise transformation initiatives requiring workflow redesign, change management, and coordination across departments and service lines. Analyzes performance data and metrics to identify opportunities for system optimization, efficiency, and quality improvement. Identifies and evaluates enterprise risks, dependencies, and impacts related to clinical informatics initiatives and supports informed decision-making. Coordinates large-scale initiatives across multiple departments to ensure alignment, communication, and timely execution. Performs other duties as assigned. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required or Four (4) plus years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree required
  • 2-4 years of experience in closely related field with Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and manage cross-functional relationships.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively with others, delegate responsibilities, and independently manage tasks while meeting established deadlines.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • In depth knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory compliance (if applicable).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Google and Microsoft platforms, healthcare software systems, and data analysis tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of previous leadership experience preferred
  • Certification in Clinical Informatics (e.g., ANCC Informatics Nursing Certification, CAHIMS/CPHIMS), Oracle Health, or Cerner preferred
