About The Position
The Clinical Informatics Manager is responsible for overseeing the integration of data, information, and knowledge to support patients, nurses, and other providers in their decision-making in all roles and settings. In collaboration with the Director, Clinical and Operational Informatics (DCOI), the manager will assist in oversight of the education, planning, development, design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing evaluation of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and all healthcare IT systems, electronic applications, and interfaces. Examples include, but are not limited to: Cerner, EPIC, Tele-Tracking, Tele-Sitter, Sunquest, Responder Nurse Call, and other clinical applications/software. Serves as a clinical liaison for all portions of the EMR that impact clinical processes and patient care. This responsibility includes 24/7 accountability in collaboration with the DCOI to directly supervise and evaluate the performance of the department's staff within a given region for the department of Clinical Informatics.
