About The Position

The Manager of Clinical Development is a clinician with a high degree of knowledge, skills and competence in a wide range of clinical fields. This position implements and facilitates the clinical development programs for Bradley Medical Center. This development includes collaboration with the educators and directors within Bradley Medical Center to ensure educational needs are being met. The Manager will work closely with all clinical educators to ensure New Nurse Orientation provides all new nurses the knowledge and skills to be successful. The Manager also works very closely with interdisciplinary teams which include physicians, other healthcare professionals, community agencies and any other resources that will facilitate development of program implementation and the management of nursing staff. This position will also be responsible for the coordination of Clinicals with area schools. This position will lead a team responsible for Patient Care Tech training and AHA. This position understands the importance of an integrated system of interventions, measurements and refinements of healthcare delivery designed to optimize clinical and economic outcomes.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate required and Baccalaureate School of Nursing required within three years.
  • Licensure: Current RN license in the State of Tennessee.
  • Experience: Five (5) years experience as a Registered Nurse with two (2) years of recent clinical experience in area of specialty preferred.
  • Skills: Knowledge of all phases of the nursing process. Must demonstrate clinical competency as well as qualities of leadership and sound judgment. Skilled in the art of human relations, problem solving and conflict resolution/negotiation. Capable of facilitating learning of others and able to express oneself effectively before groups. Demonstrates good role model qualities; ability to effectively interpret, implement and support approved policies, philosophy and objectives. Is self-directed in maintaining and improving own competence in clinical skills as well as cognitive aspects of medical/surgical nursing practice, nursing theory, current research and staff development. Can effectively collaborate with other departments to assess the training and staff development needs of clinical and management of nursing staff.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree in Clinical Nursing preferred.
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist preferred.
  • Five (5) years experience as a Registered Nurse with two (2) years of recent clinical experience in area of specialty preferred.
