The Manager, Channel Sales West at Cox Business is responsible for leading an outside sales team to achieve sales goals in the assigned region. This role involves hiring, training, and coaching sales representatives while ensuring adherence to corporate sales strategies. The position is crucial for customer acquisition, growth, and retention, and requires a strong focus on building a successful sales culture and territory strategy.

  • Lead and manage an outside sales team to achieve Cox Business sales goals.
  • Hire, train, and coach outside sales and retention representatives in the assigned region.
  • Develop and implement regional sales plans that drive business through indirect selling.
  • Split time 50/50 between leading the sales team and meeting with customers and partners.
  • Collaborate with extended sales resources to plan and execute cohesive sales campaigns.
  • Work closely with Channel Partners to drive transactional growth.
  • Develop a professional sales culture and serve as a role model for the sales team.
  • Coach and manage the performance of Agent Channel Managers to meet revenue growth targets.
  • Ensure consistent sales approaches are used by Sales Representatives to uncover customer needs.
  • Facilitate strategic planning to maximize market share and revenue.
  • Assign accounts to appropriate sales channels and set sales goals for outside sales representatives.
  • Develop account forecasts and manage the sales team to achieve maximum revenue while maintaining profitability.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing sales teams.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales goals and developing sales strategies.
  • Experience in indirect sales and working with Channel Partners.
  • Ability to coach and develop sales representatives effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Familiarity with data, cloud, and managed services sales.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies and coordination with marketing teams.
