About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for managing labor planning, ensuring the effective development and maintenance of an efficient, unbiased labor forecasting and scheduling process for the Caesars Ent, Atlantic City region. DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: Supervisor Centralized Scheduling Regional Atlantic City Operations KEY JOB FUNCTIONS : Assists the Regional Director of Centralized Scheduling in establishing and implementing short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. Performs labor analysis to determine productivity standards and direct service measurable objectives Collects and analyzes key volume indicators. Generates volume forecast and forecasted labor hourly requirements, producing weekly labor schedules and review/revise flow patterns quarterly according to business needs. Responsible for generating various weekly, monthly and quarterly reports including labor performance reports. Works closely with Human Resources and department managers to identify unique and specific staffing needs and scheduling considerations ensuring maximum productivity, quality customer service and employee satisfaction. Ensures supervisors receive appropriate training and/or instruction in the utilization of labor management systems. Makes recommendations for increasing or decreasing staffing levels as necessary. Adheres to all department and company policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls. Meets with department leadership to review rollout documents, administrative responsibilities and schedule optimization processes. Maintains direct communication with senior/middle management and line level employees. Acts as a role model and always present oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment, encouraging others to do the same. Manages department budget, including creating and receiving supply orders. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in business related field or equivalent work experience. Three (3) years’ experience in Management. Managing teams in a leadership capacity, including creating measurable objectives, training/development plans and providing feedback on performance. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and databases, including Word, Visio and SharePoint. Knowledge of planning and scheduling processes in a casino environment preferred. Lean/Six Sigma certification or process improvement. Must have scheduling experience. QUALIFICATIONS: Strong verbal, written and communication skills. Ability to speak to small and large audiences with ease. Speaks effectively and clearly with the ability to influence others in both positive and negative circumstances and produce the best outcome. Detailed oriented and strong organizational skills Problem-solving and analytical skills Strong consulting skills with the ability to advise and make recommendations, provide assistance or help with planning from a basis of personal expertise where no formal or direct reporting relationship exists Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings Responds quickly and effectively to changing business environment REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays Must be an advanced user with Microsoft Excel Must be able to identify opportunities and suggest/implement solutions Must be able to complete skill assessment upon completion of the candidate interview process PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must be able to work independently Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (4-6 hours) Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions, when handling employee conflicts Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel Responds to visual and aural cues Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights Must be able to maneuver around office and property. Given the demands listed above, this candidate must be able to handle more than one function (or one customer) at a time by being well organized while producing accurate and error free results. Also given the demands listed above, our candidate must be adept at using a personal computer, phones, and copier.
