Requirements

  • Master's Degree Required; qualified candidates with a Bachelor's degree are eligible but must submit an action plan
  • upon hire. Master's to be completed within 3 years.
  • Two or more years of progressing leadership positions in the healthcare environment.
  • Paramedic Certification and/or Radiation Technician licensure in the state of Iowa will be maintained when appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the development resource for cardiovascular diagnostics by working closely with staff, supervisors, Medical directors and service line physicians. Represents the service line to medical staff, department, sections and committees.
  • Responsible for clinical services. (ie. Management of employee and clinical resources, standards of practice, evaluation of care and services.)
  • Responsible for the administrative services. (ie. Development of budget and effective use of financial resources, marketing of services to the community, strategic planning, cooperative relations with other UnityPoint Health affiliates and services).
  • Examines measures and continuously improves operational processes, procedures and systems.
  • Collaborates with managers, is accountable for and produces aggressive quality, service growth and cost targets and results.
  • Guides the development of the staffs professional and leadership skills. Serves as a role model of UPH-DM Expectations for Excellence. Constructively coaches and counsels staff.
  • Maintains an open, honest, collaborative relationship with service line employees, the medical staff and the community.
  • Demonstrates leadership in achieving quality patient care by optimizing use of resources.
  • Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations.
