About The Position

The Category Development Manager at Energizer Holdings is responsible for fostering strong customer relationships and developing category strategies based on market insights and trends. This role involves creating actionable reports and presentations, leading customer category line reviews, and collaborating with various departments to enhance category management effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 4 years of customer-facing Sales and/or Category Management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Experience in developing and delivering compelling selling stories and presentations

Responsibilities

  • Develop category strategy based on insights and market trends
  • Build partnership relationships with customers
  • Create and develop presentations
  • Facilitate the planning process internally and externally
  • Own the customer category line review process
  • Represent the category at broader cross-functional team meetings
  • Interface with other departments such as Sales, Sales Planning, Shopper Activation, Marketing, and Finance
  • Lead planogram development
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify competitor strategies, strengths, and weaknesses
