About The Position

The Casting Manager at NIKE, Inc. will oversee the entire casting process for global productions, ensuring that selected talent aligns with the creative vision of each project. This role involves collaboration with creative and production teams, conducting castings, negotiating contracts, and maintaining a talent database. The position requires strong communication skills and a keen eye for talent, contributing to a positive and collaborative working environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience in global casting management role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects in flight at a time
  • Proven track record of people and team management
  • A problem solver, positive team leader, cross functional thought partner

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the creative and production teams to understand the vision, tone, and requirements of each individual global project
  • Conduct castings in alignment with each individual brief, either in person or virtually, to assess talent as needed
  • Collaborate with the creative team(s), studios, and producers to make final casting decisions, ensuring that selected talent bring authenticity of the sport and are on brand for Nike
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with selected talent, including compensation and scheduling details
  • Maintain a database of talent, keeping track of talent availability, skills, and previous work experience
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging talent, and casting techniques to enhance the quality of casting choices
  • Liaise with talent agents, casting agencies, and other industry professionals to source potential talent for castings and auditions
  • Coordinate with the production team to schedule fittings, and other pre-production activities with the selected talent
  • Provide support and guidance to talent throughout the production process, fostering a positive, safe and collaborative working environment
  • Build a bench of Casting Directors from around the globe, standardize fees and process
  • Manage Global casting team in both Los Angeles, CA and Portland, OR and set best practices for Nike's Global Casting COE
  • Work with legal, sports marketing, business affairs, finance and other Nike global functions
