About The Position

Johns Hopkins Medicine, a nonprofit, combines over 125 years of commitment to community care with groundbreaking research, teaching and medical services to patients worldwide. Johns Hopkins Medicine operates six academic and community hospitals, four health care and surgery centers, more than six ambulatory surgery centers and has more than 2.8 million outpatient encounters per year. The Manager, Case Management provides supervision and administrative oversight to the Case Management Team, and functions as an expert clinical practitioner and skilled manager of clinical systems that impact patient care for a minimum of 50% of his/her time. The Manager, Case Management provides daily management of personnel issues such as performance management and staffing. Under the direction of the Director, serves as an advisor, resource, preceptor and leader for other members of the Case Management Team.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited school of Nursing; for a Physician Assistant, a Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies, Health Science, or Medical Science required OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of Nursing; or for Physician Assistant, a Bachelor's degree in Allied Health required with four years' experience as a Lead Case Manager required.
  • Five years' full-time nursing or physician's assistant experience, including two years' experience in specialty area.
  • Current registered nursing licensure in the State of Maryland for RN.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional case management/disease management or managed care experience preferred.
