About The Position

HCT seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapy professional to serve as the Interim Manager, Cardiopulmonary for a 140+ bed hospital in Northern California. Job Duties: Provides overall leadership, direction, and management of the Respiratory Services Department. Oversees the day-to-day delivery of professional services and helps ensure that the care provided is consistent with established policies and procedures in a safe, appropriate and cost-effective manner. Accountable for the supervision and development of staff, provides input into planning/monitoring of department operations and staff competency assessments and assists in recommendations for capital and operating budgets annually, ensuring areas of responsibility operate within approved budgets.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of an AMA approved respiratory care program
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in respiratory therapy
  • Minimum of 3 years experience managing direct reports
  • Certifications: BLS required
  • A ND one of the following: RCP-Respiratory Care Practitioner, OR RVT-Registered Vascular Technologist, OR RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Computer Skills: EMR experience and Microsoft Office suite (e.g., MS Word, MS PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Knowledge of current Respiratory Care technologies for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations, and their respective applications, is required.
