The Manager, Carborne Systems Data Maintenance is responsible for leading a team that provides technical support regarding all aspects of Carborne software-based electronic train control and communication-based train control (CBTC) equipment. The incumbent will coordinate activities to address performance and reliability issues regarding carborne electronic train control and CBTC equipment and the critical car interfaces. They will assure that formal procedures for installation, maintenance, overhaul, repair, and software upgrades of train control and CBTC equipment are established, maintained, and updated as required. The incumbent will also investigate and analyze incident and equipment performance/operational data regarding carborne electronic train control and CBTC equipment and investigate solutions to availability/obsolescence issues. Participation in various meetings with other groups such as C&D (Construction and Development), CES (Central Electronic Shop), MOW (Maintenance of Way), SD (Service Delivery), Operating Initiatives & Project Coordination, etc. for carborne CBTC system and CBTC interface design, design review, testing, and deployment is also expected. The incumbent and team will provide reports and recommendations.
