About The Position
We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Manager of Strategy to join the Canadian Commercial Banking Strategy team. You will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the business, leading strategy development in partnership with senior leaders, and executing large scale initiatives across the business.
Requirements
- 2+ years of management consulting experience desired, preferably with experience in banking or financial services
- 5+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong understanding of banking products, client segmentation, and business strategy
- Ability to distill complex data into simple, compelling insights
- Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions
- Curious, proactive, and impact-driven
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous improvement
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, delivering strategic insights and recommendations on business decisions
- Develop compelling business cases by identifying organizational needs, evaluating options, and assessing return on investment
- Establish strategic priorities, allocate resources effectively, and design execution roadmaps to achieve business objectives
- Perform independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis and competitive research to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation
- Monitor performance, anticipate challenges, and address issues proactively
- Apply creativity to solve complex, ambiguous problems and adapt to shifting trends
- Lead cross functional teams to execute strategic initiatives ensuring alignment with business and financial goals
- Network externally to gather competitive insights and best practices
