Under the general guidance of the Director, Administration & Board Relations, the Manager of Campus Operations manages all aspects of facility operations for our 100,000-sf campus in downtown Chicago. This includes overseeing maintenance, projects, campus safety, and event support, while serving as the primary point of contact between Adler University and building management. The individual in this role must be solutions-oriented and an excellent communicator, leader, and decision-maker who excels in a fast-paced environment, providing outstanding service to all Adler University faculty, staff, students, and visitors. The candidate is expected to be sensitive to the various needs and abilities of others and should possess excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with patience and a positive, customer-friendly attitude. A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is required, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired. A minimum of five (5) years of work experience managing and supporting facilities and/or operations in higher education is essential. The role also requires certifications such as Six Sigma, PMP, FMP, or CFM, which are preferred. The Manager of Campus Operations will be responsible for managing the annual facilities operational and capital budgets, collaborating with institutional programs, departments, and the Leadership Team to oversee all space assignments, and establishing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate efficient service delivery and problem resolution. In addition to operations management, the role includes developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure campus safety, coordinating the schedules and work activities of Campus Safety Officers, and leading the response to emergencies. The Manager will also manage on-campus event support for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all requirements are met and contracts are negotiated effectively.
