About The Position

The Business Operations and Execution Manager, Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Innovation serves as the operational engine of the AI/Innovation group — owning cross-functional execution, streamlining how the team operates, and ensuring strategic priorities translate into results. Business Operations & Execution Own the implementation and continuous improvement of operational processes for the AI/Innovation group, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and company policies. Execute and follow up on operational activities in alignment with global and regional objectives, as directed by the Director of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Drive consistency in priorities, processes, and programs across the AI/Innovation group. Ensure all quality and compliance requirements are met within scope of responsibility. Cross-Functional Relationship and Stakeholder Management, Communication & Project Support Partner with internal stakeholders across business operations, HR, IT, and other functions to execute strategic initiatives with speed and precision. Identify and manage key collaboration partners across divisions, functions, and operational units. Lead complex cross-functional initiatives end-to-end, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and efficient resource allocation. Drive operational efficiencies through structured project management and stakeholder engagement, partnering with PMO, OCM, and CI as needed. Serve as the primary liaison between the AI/Innovation group and other departments, keeping stakeholders informed on operational priorities, project status, and process changes. Facilitate knowledge sharing and effective collaboration across team members and stakeholders to achieve operational goals. Model and reinforce constructive behaviors that build team cohesion and support organizational change.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of successful, extensive, and proven experience in business operations, project management, or cross-functional relationship management required (with 3+ at Cook Medical strongly preferred).
  • Strong business execution and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to lead organizational change.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to model company standards and drive team cooperation.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to drive operational excellence.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, subject to reasonable accommodation requirements of the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) (US Only)
  • Works under general office environmental conditions
  • Significant travel (3-4 times per month) may be required

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of operational processes for the AI/Innovation group, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain, execute, and follow up on operational activities in alignment with global and regional objectives, as set forth by Director, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
  • Ensure consistency in priorities, policies, compliance, processes, structure, and programs across the AI/Innovation group.
  • Within scope of responsibility, ensure all quality, regulatory, and compliance requirements are met.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across business operations, HR, IT, and other functional groups to support and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and manage relevant collaboration partners within divisions, functions, and operational units.
  • Lead and assist with managing complex cross-functional initiatives, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and resource allocation.
  • Drive operational efficiencies and process improvements through stakeholder engagement, and positive and productive project management contributions (including but not limited to partnership with PMO, OCM, CI, and more).
  • Act as a liaison between the AI/Innovation group and other departments, ensuring communication around operational priorities, project updates, and process changes.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders to achieve operational goals.
  • Model company standards and demonstrate positive, constructive behaviors that drive team cooperation and support organizational change.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, including the Employee Manual/Handbook, Code of Conduct, Electronic Information Policy, HIPAA regulations, Non-Competition and Confidentiality Agreement.
  • Participate in regular company meetings, reporting, and compliance activities as required.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned in accordance with Cook Medical standards and expectations.
  • Meet deadlines for administrative tasks such as expenses, training, reporting, and policy acknowledgements in a timely manner.
