About The Position

The Manager, Business Development at Eurofins Discovery is responsible for driving corporate growth objectives within the assigned territory, focusing on Integrated Drug Discovery (IDD) opportunities. This role involves managing customer relationships, negotiating complex deals, and expanding the service portfolio to meet client needs while ensuring the company's vision is promoted and adhered to.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years work experience in drug discovery markets with emphasis on small molecule discovery and development space.
• Understanding of IDD and the platforms that combine to make up this offering.

Nice To Haves

• Concentrated studies in Cellular or Molecular Biology or Biochemistry preferred.
• Previous experience in IDD sales or personal knowledge of customer requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Achieve corporate growth objectives in the assigned territory with a focus on Integrated Drug Discovery (IDD) opportunities.
• Identify, negotiate, and close complex deals over $100K.
• Act as the primary customer contact in a matrix organization to manage projects.
• Manage all aspects of the territory including forecasting and sales.
• Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts for the Eurofins Discovery service portfolio.
• Expand existing contracts through systematic renewal processes.
• Support business growth through client visits, technical visits, and presentations.
• Identify opportunities for expanding business in chemistry, in vitro biology, safety, and Translational Biology services.
• Gather knowledge and communicate best practices to marketing and technical teams.
• Research prospective accounts in target markets and pursue leads to successful agreements.
