About the position

The Business Development Manager at Northrop Grumman will lead efforts to identify, prioritize, develop, and acquire program opportunities within the space navigation markets. This role is crucial for promoting the company's strategic product portfolio and capabilities, ensuring growth within the Department of Defense and among prime contractors. The position requires a blend of technical knowledge and business acumen to support the company's long-term growth targets.

Responsibilities

  • Market the space strategic product portfolio and capabilities
  • Develop and assess new opportunities for space navigation systems
  • Develop and mature contact plans
  • Promote expansion and growth within and among the DoD Services and Prime Contractors
  • Develop strategic proposal win themes and support capture teams
  • Develop and implement win strategies
  • Support the business unit and profit & loss (P&L) leaders to achieve near-term and long-term growth targets

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience in Space Navigation Aerospace Industry
  • 10 years experience in Business Development across diverse business lines, products, customers, and countries
  • 3+ years experience in executing and leading product growth activities
  • Working technical knowledge of inertial sensors, navigation technologies, GPS, and space market
  • Experience leading and collaborating with P&L counterparts
  • Experience in customer engagement strategy, position to win, price-to-win, and competitive analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Must be a US citizen

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters of Science or MBA Degree and minimum of 10 years experience in space navigation domains
  • At least 15 years experience in business development with knowledge of the acquisition process
  • Proven track record on both competitive and non-competitive product growth activities
  • Existing relationships with Government agencies / Commercial companies in the space inertial domain
  • Knowledge of SalesForce application
  • Current Top Secret clearance
