About The Position

The Manager of Bus Process Improvement at Yazaki North America Inc. is responsible for establishing and optimizing the Customer Service/Materials Department's activities and procedures. This role focuses on driving the department towards meeting corporate objectives, managing budgets, and tracking performance metrics. The manager will provide leadership, coaching, and development for the team while ensuring effective communication with customers and affiliates.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in customer service and materials management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage budgets and track performance metrics.
  • Experience in process improvement methodologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with TS and ISO certification processes.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective action development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop plans, allocate resources, and direct activities in support of Customer Service/Materials responsibilities.
  • Establish, manage, and optimize processes to evaluate customer demand and ensure timely availability of inventory for production and service parts.
  • Ensure timely response to customer communications and notify customers of any situations affecting their production schedule.
  • Support customer/vendor communications by email/phone during local time if necessary.
  • Participate in capacity planning, manufacturing product transfers, direct shipments, and cross-functional cost reduction initiatives.
  • Provide direction and support for Supervisor and Material Planning activities.
  • Manage and report extraordinary expenses accurately to the responsible parties.
  • Ensure participation in cross-functional business unit meetings and projects as needed.
  • Support and allocate resources toward special projects or assignments as needed.
  • Demonstrate accountability for all work activities and initiate opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead department in TS and ISO certification and maintenance.
