The Building Electrification and Efficiency Portfolio (BEEP) is an integral piece of energy sustainability and creating a better energy future for our customers, which is why PG&E has worked for more than four decades to support customer efforts to reduce energy usage. Position Summary The Manager, BEEP Solicitations will lead the ongoing administration of a Project Management Office (PMO) within the BEEP Program Delivery team which will continue to standardize and document the processes, systems, policies and methods used to execute consistent, fair and competitive 3rd Party solicitations for electrification (building and transportation) and energy efficiency programs. This role, in partnership with PG&E Sourcing, will lead the development and implementation of various procurement-related efforts within the broader E&D organization and serve as the primary contact for new solicitation efforts, including the Clean Energy Transportation (CET) team. This position will focus on centralizing procurement activities taking place within the E&D organization as well as to ensure that future building electrification and efficiency solicitations are robust, compliant with Commission requirements, and meet all other BEEP Portfolio goals and metrics. This role will also be the primary contact for new electrification and energy efficiency business models being proposed at the CPUC that will require new solicitations to be designed and managed. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing competitive solicitations/3rd party contracting and participating in associated governance structures; be comfortable leading cross-functional teams; and have demonstrated experience working collaboratively with a broad-range of stakeholders to develop program or product strategies. The Manager should demonstrate an ability to manage all aspects of an active solicitation, including ensuring adherence to the appropriate planning, budget, execution, and compliance processes. The successful candidate will have excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills; the ability to inform and influence leadership decision making; and a strong ability to work independently. The successful candidate will also recruit, develop, and lead a team of at least four people focused on the execution of competitive solicitations. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The preferred work location is Oakland, CA. PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position. The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The range to reasonably expect will be between the minimum to the midpoint of the range. The final decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
