About The Position

The Manager, Broadcast & Media Relations is responsible for leading media relations and broadcasting efforts for the Columbus Clingstones, a Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. This full-time, seasonal position involves serving as the primary play-by-play broadcaster for home games, managing media relations, and creating engaging content for various platforms. The role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and accountability within a positive team culture.

Requirements

• Previous media relations and broadcasting experience, preferably in Minor League Baseball.
• Computer literacy, including knowledge of Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign preferred.
• Experience with social media marketing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work as a team player with a friendly personality.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task with little supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in sports broadcasting or media relations in a baseball context.
• Familiarity with MiLB.TV and live broadcasting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary play-by-play broadcaster for all Clingstones home games on MiLB.TV.
• Host pregame and postgame shows.
• Shoot, host, and produce daily feature elements for stadium and social media.
• Edit audio and video elements, including highlights and interviews.
• Compile daily information packets for home games, including rosters and lineups.
• Write game recaps, feature stories, and articles for the website.
• Assist with media relations efforts, including issuing press releases and accommodating interview requests.
• Maintain the Synovus Park press box and assist with social media management.
