About The Position

The Manager - Branch (Security Sales) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a small-scale retail location within the Communications and Security Solutions division. This role involves managing staff, finances, merchandise, and driving sales and customer service to meet strategic goals and quality standards. The manager will also engage in leadership activities, including warehouse and customer service duties, while supporting a branch with revenue between $1M and $5M.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant field preferred.
  • 5-7 years prior professional sales experience in a related industry.
  • 1-3 years prior experience managing a team.
  • Working knowledge of business and management principles in strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Demonstrated verbal, written, analytical, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and processes.
  • Ability to exercise teamwork, leadership, and flexibility.
  • Excellent time management and computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Drive customer service excellence in all aspects of the branch, including showroom appearance and product placement.
  • Ensure strategic goals and sales targets are met by maximizing sales and gross profit.
  • Hire, train, develop, and supervise a small team of non-management employees.
  • Provide staff with feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate staffing schedules and conduct weekly staff meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and local health regulations.
  • Network to improve the branch's presence and reputation.
  • Stay informed about competition and emerging technologies.
  • Identify customer requirements and develop relationships with top accounts.
  • Schedule regular customer visits and address concerns for optimal outcomes.
  • Develop strategies to expand walk-in traffic and optimize profitability.
  • Analyze and monitor inventory and stock movement.
  • Plan and organize customer events and local trade shows.
  • Create protocols for theft management.
