About The Position
The manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the institutional biorepositories. The manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring policies and procedures for the biorepository, including quality, safety, and traceability of biospecimens and related data. Ensures compliance with federal, state, institutional safety, and IRB policies, protocols, and regulatory requirements. Educates staff and leaders on the operational procedures that are based on the best practices based on operational standards. Provides support to leaders and staff in developing efficient specimen ordering, processing, tracking, and resulting systems. Provides administrative and technical support to staff and acts as liaison to Medical Staff and team members. Maintains excellent public relations for all biorepository services. Provides a timely communication link between staff and leadership. Responsible for budgeting, recharge billing and monitors supplies and inventory. Actively supports the continuous quality improvement and customer service goals through the development of effective systems and the education of staff and customer base.
