The primary purpose of this position is to manage the day-to-day operations of the Aquatica Park to ensure guest and ambassador satisfaction and safety. This includes overall oversight of Water Safety Operations, Ambassador training, and Scheduling.

Requirements

  • Minimum of (3) three years theme park operations experience with at least (2) two years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Must be able to obtain Lifeguard Instructor certification within 6 months of employment.
  • Experience working in or leading aquatic operations strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of American Red Cross certification and training requirements for all aquatic positions, including but not limited to, Lifeguarding, Shallow Water Guard and Basic Water Rescue, CPR and First Aid. Ability to obtain required certifications within 6 months of employment.
  • Intermediate computer skills (including Excel, Word, financial systems, and Outlook).
  • Demonstrate initiative, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; Confident and outgoing presence with the ability to professionally interact with various levels of ambassadors and leadership.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects with a detail-oriented style.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; must be able to analyze reports, data and processes.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time in extreme weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekday, evening, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Consistently practices safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting, and reporting of unsafe situations.
  • Must be willing to comply with and ensure ambassadors comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
  • Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Daily management of all water attractions in compliance with established operational and safety procedures.
  • Responsible for training programs and operation, ensuring that safety, quality, employee engagement and guest courtesy are maintained.
  • Participates in the Park Duty Manager program. Assists other Park Operation areas including Guest Arrival, Park Quality, and Culinary as needed.
  • Work closely with Human Resources and Scheduling to ensure maximum efficiency in labor utilization and Aquatica operations are appropriately staffed to deliver superior service to guests.
  • Daily management and reporting of labor budget and expenses. Responsible for the management of ambassador schedules within budgeted hours to include oversight of timekeeping records to ensure accurate reporting and payment of hours.
  • Ensure resources are available to ambassadors to allow their success in overall job performance. Responsible for clearly communicating ambassador expectations and ensuring behaviors align with expectations.
  • Proactively manage guest experience to ensure that all guest concerns are prevented and/or resolved in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with support areas including but not limited to Environmental, Health and Safety, Security, Human Resources, and Park Operations to ensure that resources are available to support overall water park success.
  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing the SEA image and assist other areas of operations when needed.
