About The Position

Description Overview: Manages the development, implementation and maintenance of software applications that are of a strategic or business-critical nature. Develops project plans, and time and cost estimates. Provides direction and leadership to a team of applications developers including the scheduling, assignment and review of project work. Tracks, monitors, and communicates project progress against the project plan and key milestones. Likely to be actively involved in the execution of the technically complex aspects of projects. This role provides both functional leadership and technical solution ownership for the Dynamics Sales, Service, and Marketing CRM portfolios. Responsibilities Responsibilities: Product strategy & roadmap ownership: Own end‑to‑end product roadmaps for Sales, Service, and Marketing CRM. Drive portfolio prioritization using standardized fields (Business Value, Urgency, Platform Impact, Customer Impact). Ensure a unified intake model across business projects, internal work, incidents, and ideas. Lead prioritization forums and maintain a predictable release cadence (monthly and bi‑monthly). Functional & technical architecture leadership: Translate business requirements into scalable, platform‑aligned Dynamics CRM solutions. Own architectural integrity across integrations, data models, workflows, and feature design. Ensure alignment to platform health vs. product value separation within the operating model. Review vendor solution proposals for quality and alignment with platform roadmap. Release governance & execution: Lead release approvals and readiness checks across monthly and bi‑monthly releases. Ensure adherence to Jira workflows, state gates, and release governance standards. Approve release notes and communicate production impacts, training needs, and required actions. Oversee incident escalations and prioritize hotfixes when required. Stakeholder engagement & communication: Serve as the primary CRM voice for Sales, Service, and Marketing business teams. Facilitate UAT, define acceptance criteria, and manage cross‑functional communication cycles. Promote transparency around prioritization, releases, and CRM roadmap evolution. Vendor & delivery oversight, partner with CRM IT Manager: Oversee vendor delivery quality and alignment to CRM governance. Ensure rigorous execution of releases by CRM Dev, Admin, and Vendor teams. Maintain accountability for execution quality, platform stability, and incident trends. Qualifications Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Experience stabilizing or maturing CRM platforms post‑migration. Familiarity with multi‑product CRM environments (Sales, Service, Marketing). Experience managing vendor performance and technical delivery quality. Understanding of product vs. platform ownership separation as defined in the CRM operating model. Experience: Preferred 5+ years of CRM experience (Dynamics strongly preferred). Preferred Prior experience as a Product Owner, CRM Functional Consultant, or CRM Solution Architect. Demonstrated expertise in backlog management, requirement definition, and release governance. Strong understanding of CRM workflows, data models, integrations, and platform impacts. Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and communicate with senior leadership. Managerial Experience: Experience of planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by more senior managers Experience stabilizing or maturing CRM platforms post‑migration. Familiarity with multi‑product CRM environments (Sales, Service, Marketing). Experience managing vendor performance and technical delivery quality. Understanding of product vs. platform ownership separation as defined in the CRM operating model. Candidates must be within 250 miles of an APL Logistics facility or office. The typical starting salary range for this position is: $100,310 - $143,300. The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, and location. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes bonus and benefits. Hybrid employees must report to the office 8 days per month, scheduled by their supervisor. Warehouse roles are typically fully on-site. Candidates outside the 25-mile radius may be considered for fully remote roles, depending on business needs. Remote work requires full compliance with company policies, including workspace standards, timekeeping, and communication protocols. Commuting costs are not reimbursed. Adherence to this policy is a condition of employment.

Requirements

  • Preferred 5+ years of CRM experience (Dynamics strongly preferred).
