About The Position

The Applications Manager will lead a team of Applications Engineers at Thermo Fisher Scientific, focusing on applications development for FTIR and MS product lines within the Environmental and Process Monitoring business unit. This role involves coordinating projects, enhancing commercial effectiveness, and supporting marketing activities to help customers improve product quality and reduce emissions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a similar field.
• 10+ years of experience in a relevant field; Master's Degree preferred.
• Proficiency in process FTIR and Mass Spectrometry is required.
• Experience with gas analysis is required.
• Excellent organization skills and detail-oriented.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Applications Engineers and prioritize applications development projects.
• Coordinate applications development projects for FTIR and MS product lines.
• Evaluate gas analysis applications to broaden FTIR and MS capabilities.
• Support the Senior Product Manager in defining the portfolio applications strategy.
• Work with R&D and the Product Manager to define applications requirements for new products.
• Team with sales professionals to cultivate new or target accounts.
