The Manager, Application Engineering is responsible for managing a team of brilliant Application Engineers and QA resources to build the award-winning products we offer to our clients. Our Managers are willing to jump in and roll their sleeves up in order to get the job done and are certainly highly technical.

  • Manages all day-to-day activities of the team
  • Conducts People Operations responsibilities for all assigned team members, including performance reviews, disciplinary action, etc.
  • Schedules projects and resources, and monitors project timelines ; w ill ultimately be accountable for the success or failure of all team projects
  • Motivate s and provide s guidance to team members to accomplish team goals through counseling, performance reviews, mentoring, and team building activities
  • Coaches team members, helping them develop into more senior/experienced resources
  • Works with the Business Product Owners to identify priorities for Application D evelopment and enhancements ; a cquire s resources for projects to fit the current and future needs of the B usiness
  • Work s closely and cohesively with other M anagers within T echnology , as well as with key stakeholders in related departments
  • Helps other T echnology M anagers set and implement policies and procedures related to application quality, standards, and testing
  • Technical capabilities are on par with the Lead Application Engineer
  • Plays an integral part in establishing, driving, and enhancing processes and procedures within the team, and within the Technology department as a whole
  • Establishes training offerings, suited for individuals’ needs, for them to progress
  • Establishes priorities for Lead Application Engineers and ensures that they have guidance and coaching in mentoring other team members
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • 7+ years of .NET and SQL Server experience
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Technical Lead/Lead Engineer
  • Unit Testing experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment & welcome change
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Ability to work both in team and solo environments
  • Experience building highly scalable software solutions
  • Subject Matter Expertise in at least one technical track
  • Ability to run a team of 3+ team members
  • Able to plan and initiate multi-quarter projects with a full project team
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • N-Tier and SaaS development experience is preferred
  • Prior experience as a people leader
