The Manager of Application Development at Deloitte is responsible for leading the delivery and implementation of software development projects, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and application standards. This role involves managing technical direction, coordinating development activities, and participating in quality improvement initiatives within the development organization. The position requires a strong understanding of emerging technologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Monitors progress and status of tasks and deliverables on projects and escalates issues and risks timely.
  • Leads the delivery, implementation, and improvement of all applicable channel processes, methodologies, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Manages technical direction and leads end-to-end delivery of projects to address business needs.
  • Analyzes emerging technologies and influences direction of project solutions.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge and enforces standards, procedures, and methodologies for the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Coordinates application development activities and directs development teams in scheduling, technical direction, future planning, and standard development practices.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities for the development organization.
  • Ensures project/program objectives are met in a timely manner and adhere to application standards.
  • Performs a combination of professional and management duties over work staff.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Five years of experience in software development or related occupation.
  • Experience in software development and maintenance of high application business criticality.
  • Proficiency in DevOps, Continuous Integration/Delivery/Test, Agile, Lean, Configuration Management, Security, and Infrastructure as a Service.
  • Experience with SharePoint, SharePoint Search, and Workflow Manager Farm Topologies.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and Desired State Configuration.
  • Experience with MS SQL and C# programming language.
  • Experience in designing, coding, operating, and supporting high-performance, highly available services and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Azure Services as a cloud infrastructure provider.
  • Experience with instrumentation, monitoring, alerting, and responding relative to performance and availability of applications.
