About the position

We are seeking a strategic, driven, and collaborative Ad Sales Manager to lead a portion of our Apple News advertising team in North America. This leader will guide a team of Client Partners responsible for delivering thoughtful, brand-forward advertising solutions for some of the world’s most influential marketers. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of digital media, a deep understanding of agency and client relationships, and a consistent track record of leading high-performing sales teams. In this role, you will help advertisers tap into the editorial excellence, engaged audience, and innovative formats of Apple News. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams including Marketing, Product, Operations, and Analytics to bring ideas to life and grow the Apple News advertising business with integrity and excellence!

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Client Partners across key North American markets
  • Set and manage revenue targets, providing strategic guidance to unlock growth across industry verticals
  • Foster senior-level relationships with media agencies and brand marketers to drive adoption of Apple News advertising
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, and Operations to shape go-to-market strategies and improve the advertiser experience
  • Drive innovation in storytelling and branded experiences that align with the unique strengths of Apple News
  • Deliver proactive guidance, feedback, and support to help the team exceed expectations and scale their impact
  • Represent Apple News in internal forums and industry events with professionalism and thought leadership

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in digital media with a focus on brand advertising and content-driven sales
  • 5+ years of people management experience leading sales teams, ideally within a matrixed organization
  • Experience hiring, building, and scaling high-performing ad sales teams in dynamic or high-growth environments
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling strategic client relationships, particularly with agencies and Fortune 500 brands
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Deep understanding of the media planning and buying process, especially within the US agency ecosystem
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills with a collaborative approach
  • Ability to translate data and insights into compelling narratives that drive results
  • Experience working with editorial content or in premium environments is a plus
  • Passion for Apple’s brand and commitment to upholding editorial integrity
