About The Position

Zillow’s Analytics team plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of real estate by delivering actionable insights that drive business decisions. As part of a company committed to innovation, equity, and belonging, our team partners closely with Sales, Operations, and Product to make home a reality for more people. You will have an opportunity to lead a talented team of analysts and data scientists to uncover insights that directly impact Zillow’s mortgage origination and real estate agent funnels. Your work will empower teams across the company to make data-driven decisions, improve customer experiences, and drive strategic growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, or business intelligence.
  • 2+ years of experience managing data scientists, analysts, or business intelligence professionals.
  • Proficient in SQL and Python for analytics, with experience reviewing code and coaching others.
  • Skilled in data visualization tools, preferably Tableau.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Experience with data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business decisions from insights and data science work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of analysts and data scientists in a collaborative environment.
  • Set clear goals, track team performance, and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of research projects and data science models.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Operations leaders to identify opportunities for conversion and efficiency improvements.
  • Provide thought leadership and ensure your team’s insights inform company strategy.
  • Manage project resources, responsibilities, and timelines, proactively addressing risks.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure access to relevant data.
  • Foster a culture of methodological rigor and continuous improvement.
