The Manager of Ambulatory Case Management oversees the case management department, supervising case managers and ensuring effective management of patient care services. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing utilization plans, and ensuring compliance with federal guidelines while promoting cost-effective outcomes.

  • Supervises case managers and assists in department management.
  • Assesses, plans, facilitates, and advocates for patient health needs.
  • Develops and implements the Utilization Plan and departmental goals.
  • Evaluates work performance of case managers in collaboration with the Director.
  • Ensures appropriate case management staffing and compiles reports.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal guidelines.
  • Represents the department on assigned hospital committees.
  • Ensures cost-effective care through utilization management and care coordination.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Three years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care facility.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
  • Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
  • Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills.
  • Knowledge about community resources for patient recovery.
  • Understanding of third-party payer issues concerning reimbursement and regulatory perimeters.
  • Ability to explain complex information to patients and families.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for gathering patient information.
