About The Position

This role leads the development and implementation of high-quality, transdisciplinary resources and instructional materials, mathematical modeling frameworks, artificial intelligence guidelines for effective use, and professional learning experiences that strengthen conceptual and contextual mathematics, science, and literacy teaching and learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics education, science education, computer science education, data science, STEM education, Instructional Design/Learning Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5–8 years of experience in STEM programming, curriculum development and professional learning, with a track record of managing large scale initiatives
  • Extensive expertise in K-12 mathematics standards and assessment, with proven success developing, aligning, and implementing curriculum and course pathways that ensure coherence among objectives, instruction, and measures of learning; demonstrated expertise in aligning crosscutting concepts, practices, learning objectives, assessments, and instructional materials to standards and desired outcomes
  • Demonstrated expertise integrating emerging technologies into instructional experiences to support critical thinking, creative problem solving, and reasoning with a learner-centered design.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data, research, and evaluation feedback to inform design and implementation decisions, actions, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated a strong understanding of pedagogy and andragogy principles
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and learning data standards/interoperability (e.g., SCORM/xAPI), and comfort with LMS/LXP and common authoring tools
  • Strong project management skills (planning, prioritization, risk management, schedule/budget tracking) and ability to deliver under deadlines; ability to work collaboratively across various teams and contexts
  • Demonstrated excellent facilitation, written, and verbal communication skills and comfort representing the Center in field-facing settings
  • Experience working with PK–12 systems and/or HE systems and producing field-facing materials
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in education, mathematics, computer science, STEM, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with postsecondary mathematics pathways, phenomenon-based instruction, and early numeracy
  • Experience advancing policies and practices that drive innovation and transdisciplinary alignment across education sectors in alignment with workforce needs.
  • Experience with professional learning and resource development related to emerging technologies and artificial intelligence
  • Experience in early childhood education, literacy and/or numeracy, including PK–3 instructional improvement
  • Experience supervising and coaching staff and leading cross-functional teams, with a track record of building capacity, supporting professional growth, and delivering high-quality work in complex, multi-constituent environments, as well as coordinating work with vendors/contractors.
  • Experience contributing to successful proposals and managing funded project deliverables
  • Experience facilitating communities of practice or professional networks; presenting at conferences and forums.
  • Experience collaborating with workforce or industry partners to connect education to career readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the design and development of high-quality phenomenon-based mathematics and STEM instructional materials, implementation supports, and professional learning experiences; ensure quality, accessibility, and usability
  • Manage day-to-day execution of AI and STEM projects, including timelines, budgets, pilots, targeted assistance, questions and answers, and deliverables; mentor and support assigned staff
  • Maintain relationships with clients, collaborators, and funders; coordinate ongoing collaboration with key partners, including shared planning cycles and joint quality assurance processes to ensure coherence across products, professional learning, and implementation supports
  • Contribute to business and grant development focused on AI and STEM innovation across K–12 and higher education; provide scopes, timelines, and evidence of impact; surface opportunities and contribute to marketing and informational materials for AI and STEM innovation initiatives
  • Serve as a field presence through presentations, publications, and networks; support adoption and scaling focused on AI and STEM innovations
  • Participate in organizational culture and strategy efforts; align innovative initiatives with Center priorities and cross-team collaboration
