About The Position

The Manager, Advertising Destination Strategy is tasked with delivering meaningful content experiences that build trust and consideration to enable our customer to take positive financial action with Prudential. This Manager will need to work to raise the profile of our brand and highlight our differentiation by creating and implementing digital content strategies (when/where we are investing in paid media). This role will support our brand and business strategies by being hands on throughout integrated campaign development and execution, extending the reach of existing messaging and developing new content that engages and inspires external audiences. This role is best suited for a content strategist with an entrepreneurial spirit and a business owner mindset. Someone that thrives on the excitement of building new opportunities, creating structure from ambiguity, and can partner with multiple stakeholders to drive action. Editorial experience of any kind is a draw.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years in Marketing with 3+ years in a Content Marketing
  • Proven ability to create content strategies that increase consideration and drive demand
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing marketing content strategies for immediate and extended objectives
  • Deep understanding of the financial services industry, particularly in wealth management and protection
  • Proven experience with integrated, personalized B2B and B2C campaigns utilizing the Adobe tech stack
  • Strong understanding of website, search engine marketing, social media, newsletter, paid and earned media and measurement
  • Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation and spoken formats to a variety of audiences
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of marketing professionals
  • Excellent analytical skills to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Media, Brand Strategy, Businesses, and creative departments
  • Ability to understand, digest, and distil complex concepts for mass consumption via engaging content
  • Proven ability to thrive in a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel
  • Strong project management skills to ensure timely execution of marketing initiatives
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms to enhance content distribution and engagement
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate strategies and influence stakeholders
  • Adaptable and innovative, with a willingness to explore new trends and technologies in advertising and content

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement brand and business content marketing strategies for priority campaigns with advertising support
  • Translate brand strategy and activation activities into compelling content opportunities by identifying themes and hooks to build audience engagement
  • Partner cross functionally with brand and business marketing partners to align on priority projects that deliver on brand and business objectives
  • Collaborate with brand, businesses, media, sponsorship, social, creative, and SEO teams to create/curate content experiences that accelerates business results, as well as builds brand consideration and thought leadership
  • Commission and guide research, and analyze data to uncover insights that help optimize strategic plans and content execution and delivery
  • Responsible for mapping content journeys, ideation and execution of content, measuring and reporting on impact and learnings to drive brand and business objectives
  • Use audience insights, customer segments and messaging themes to build an integrated content plan
  • Coordinate with analytics, digital marketing, and media to test and optimize content including SEO and search results
  • Oversee the content development process, working closely with internal and external creative teams to produce high-quality content
  • Use Generative AI for content creation and refine with editorial expertise
  • Implement and utilize tools and technology to track and analyze content effectiveness and its role in business growth
