About The Position

ChenMed is seeking a Manager, Advanced Practice Providers, Telehealth to oversee a team of NPs, PAs, and other Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) delivering telehealth services. This role involves managing staff performance, ensuring quality of care, coordinating ongoing education, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to telehealth strategy development. A portion of the role (up to 20% of work time) may involve direct clinical diagnostic patient care through virtual consultations. This is a fully remote managerial position requiring strong virtual leadership to ensure VIP, patient-centric care for geriatric patients.   • Flexible to work after-hours, evenings, weekends and/or holidays if/as needed
  • Spoken and written fluency in English
  • BS degree from an accredited PA program and national board certification required; OR MS degree in Nursing (MSN) and graduation from a school of nursing for Advanced Practice Nursing with certification in area of specialty required
  • For NPs: Board certification by AANP or ANCC required
  • For PAs: Board certification by NCCPA (PA-C) required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification desired
  • Licensed to practice in Florida required; will be expected to acquire additional state licenses at a later date
  • A minimum of 5 years’ acute clinical work experience required
  • A minimum of 3 years’ direct managerial/supervisory experience responsible for overseeing a clinical team required

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree from an accredited PA program preferred
  • DNP preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish/Creole) a plus
  • A minimum of 3 years’ telehealth work experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manages and leads the APP Telehealth team, ensuring effective delivery of diagnostic patient care primarily through virtual, remote consultations.
  • Oversees assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and documentation of geriatric patients’ physical and psychosocial health status.
  • Actively engage in direct patient care through telehealth consultations, dedicating up to 20% of work time to this function. This hands-on approach ensures a deep understanding of the patient experience and the workflow of the team.
  • Promotes a collaborative, patient-centric approach to care, in coordination with primary caregivers and interdisciplinary care plan teams.
  • Facilitates staff development, performance management, and team productivity to optimize service delivery.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of telehealth/telemedicine policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Ensures compliance with guidelines, regulations, departmental goals/objectives, standards of performance, and quality patient care compliance.
  • Utilizes resources effectively and efficiently to plan and provide services that are safe, patient-centric, and fiscally responsible.
  • Analyzes patient data, health outcomes, and service utilization to identify trends, evaluate program effectiveness, and guide decision-making.
  • Manages scheduling flexibility based on the needs of the department, including coverage for PTO, LOA, and other unexpected absences.
  • Undertakes additional duties as assigned and modified at the manager's discretion.
