NOBULL is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their growing Finance & Accounting department. This position will report directly to the Controller and support the accounting team to assist in overseeing month-end closings, journal entry preparation, and general ledger reconciliations. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations and accounting functions, supporting the Controller in developing accounting and finance processes and providing an exceptional level of support to the business. The ideal candidate will have a mix of public and private accounting experience. This individual will assist in implementing and managing the processes and controls of the department to ensure appropriate accounting procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent field, CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Managerial experience and desire to mentor and develop staff
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities
  • Must be organized, highly motivated, and a flexible team player
  • Process driven and forward thinking

Nice To Haves

  • NetSuite experience & experience with Avalara and expense management systems a plus

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors
  • Ownership of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) through preparation, analysis and reporting of monthly management accounts
  • Manage full-cycle month-end / year-end close procedures, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
  • Implementation, management and continuous development of proper accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls
  • Reviewing and some preparation of monthly inventory, revenue, and other balance sheet reconciliations
  • Management, coaching and development of the Accounting and AP teams
  • Monthly variance analysis and financial reporting
  • Partner and maintain strong relationships with major stakeholders such as the Distribution Director, Customer Service Director, and Director of Digital Product
  • Other (as applicable/necessary)
  • Maintenance of the lease and promotional schedules
  • Assist in processing and reviewing bi-weekly and 1099 payroll with HR
  • Other responsibilities and duties as required by management
