About The Position

The Manager, Accounting position will oversee and manage accounting functions, which may include revenue, accounts receivable, cash management, expenses, leases, accounts payable or inventory. Essential Job Functions Ensure required journal entries are entered in accordance with Hillman accounting policies and GAAP Analyze accounts looking for required accruals, reclass, and/or adjustments Proactively seek process improvement for close function Assists in the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policy Leads, manages and develops a team, including setting goals, providing ongoing training and maintaining a strong employee relationship Participates in internal and external audits - interacts with auditors, prepares reports, and maintains required documentation. Education & Experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience, preferably with a portion of it being in a supervisory role
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, problem-solving and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated strong professional communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop direct reports
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet application

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree preferred
