Requirements

  • Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Typically requires 8 years of related experience.
  • Financial Regulatory Reporting - Financial reporting is a standard accounting practice that uses financial statements to disclose a company's financial information and performance over a particular period, usually on an annual or quarterly basis.
  • Financial Analysis - Analyzes the financial statements and data to provide insights about the financial performance and position of the organization over time.
  • Financial Statements - Financial statements are formal records of the financial activities and position of a business, person, or other entity.
  • Financial Accounting - The ability to prepare and present financial statements and reports, such as monthly financial statements and work-in-progress reports, to stakeholders.
  • Account Reconciliations - Comparing sets of financial records to ensure accuracy and prevent balance sheet errors.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Ensuring an organization's adherence to laws, regulations, guidelines and specifications relevant to its business processes.
  • Internal Controls - The process for assuring of an organization's objectives in operational effectiveness and efficiency and compliance with laws, regulations and policies. A broad concept, internal control involves everything that controls risks to an organization.
  • Information Systems Management - Applying computer-base for managing information in organizations for management purpose.
  • Financial Auditing - An objective examination and evaluation of the financial statements of an organization to make sure that the financial records are a fair and accurate representation of the transactions they claim to represent.
  • Accounting Standards - Apply financial reporting framework prescribed by the relevant governing body to ensure all transactions meet regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Leverages specialized reporting techniques to achieve business objectives, and leads the resolution of highly complex reporting issues.
  • Influences key internal and external stakeholders to understand new and upcoming trends in financial reporting that will impact the business, and identifies potential standards and procedures in order to remain compliant.
  • Leads the implementation of a robust, comprehensive reporting infrastructure to support all financial reporting cycles with relevant and accurate information, statutory reports, short-term forecasts, budgets and the strategic plan.
  • Collaborates across business units on regulatory matters and presents compliance with policies and standards to corporate management and regulatory bodies as appropriate.
  • Determines action plans and contributes to consensus building and manages the balance between regulatory compliance and other business objectives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
