About The Position
The position involves overseeing accounting operations with high complexity, requiring a high level of independence and ownership. The individual will coordinate, develop, review, and implement accounting policies and procedures for their responsible areas. They will lead project planning and implementation efforts related to their areas of responsibility and oversee the month-end closing process to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The role also includes heavy involvement in the strategic planning efforts of the department, particularly in relation to their responsible areas, and supervising a moderate-sized team of accountants, which may include senior and leadership-level members.
