About The Position

The Manager - Accounting Advisory / Technical Accounting position involves leading project teams and working closely with senior management of various companies, including Fortune 500, mid-cap, and start-ups. The role focuses on managing client relationships, overseeing project deliverables, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Managers are expected to take ownership of projects, engage in business development, and mentor junior consultants while providing solutions to complex accounting issues.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• 6 to 8 years of experience in public accounting and/or industry accounting/finance.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Strong technical skills and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting.
• Proactive in identifying client needs and building strong client relationships.
• Highly organized with the ability to set engagement expectations and direction.
• Effective analytical and critical thinking abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with ASC 842 and ASC 606 accounting standards.
• Entrepreneurial nature and self-motivated attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and interact with clients and their Big4 auditors on all aspects of engagements.
• Review work prepared by consultants on operational due diligence for complex transactions.
• Review consultants' deliverables of financial and regulatory information in accordance with SEC requirements.
• Research and document projects related to new ASC accounting standards.
• Implement process improvement projects and changes.
• Mentor consultants and provide creative solutions to enhance their experience.
• Participate in recruiting efforts and business development activities.
