About The Position

Works under the general direction of an assigned supervisor and is responsible for directing the success of specific line and staff programs in a large section with policy impact.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years in a managerial capacity, including responsibilities in project management
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, management, or a closely related field; OR An equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

  • Performs management responsibilities in accordance with policies and procedures; responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, discipline addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
  • Directs the work activities of all assigned employees in the office and is accountable for their results.
  • Delegates authority to subordinate supervisors and holds them responsible for the performance.
  • Determines resource needs and allocation of resources and accounts for their effective use.
  • Recommends programs goals and develops plans for the office with higher management, i.e. Elected officials, Judges, and Attorneys.
  • Develops a timetable to ensure all work activities stay on projected implementation schedules.
  • Coordinates activities with staff of the department to meet departmental goals and objectives.
  • Performs other related responsibilities as required or directed.
