About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a dynamic Executive Dining Room Manager2 to lead dining room operations at Ingleside at Rock Creek in Washington, DC . Ingleside at Rock Creek is a culturally rich, not-for-profit Life Plan Community offering an engaged lifestyle with exceptional amenities, steps from the beautiful Rock Creek Park, a gem in our nation’s capital. We’re looking for a hospitality-driven professional with strong front-of-house leadership experience and a passion for mentoring and training staff. A background in a country club or fine dining setting is highly preferred. Typical shift is 12:00pm - 9:00pm, may vary with every other weekend coverage. Requirements

a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement and customer service skills, as well as previous restaurant management / catering experience
the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
the ability to drive employee success to enhance the value of the food and nutrition team
the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
Minimum Management Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

have oversight of day-to-day front of house operations for the 2 restaurant style dining rooms and a bistro - Marketplace cafe
manage a front-of-house team of approximately 35 staff members, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism
deliver high quality food services including retail, catering and resident dining operations
achieve company and client financial targets and goals
develop and maintain client and customer relationships
ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests
ensure Sodexo standards are met
