The Manager 1, Supply Chain Planning is responsible for the creation and optimization of supply and production plans for equipment and related materials across the enterprise. This role involves overseeing the creation of the plan, and the monitoring of key performance indicators to ensure quality and production requirements are being met. The manager may lead a team of exempt and non-exempt employees, providing subject matter guidance, developing processes and procedures for department efficiencies, and assisting in departmental budget development and adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Support International Programs.
  • Launching International warehouses, automation/machine build for configuration on various accounts, cost saving initiatives and business continuity planning.
  • Plan, implement and manage strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels and achieve cost objectives.
  • Execute on agreed sales and operations planning (S&OP) process, securing alignment of key matrixed cross functional teams (both field and corporate).
  • Develop requirements for system enhancements to existing planning applications and/or system integrations as new tools are introduced.
  • Ensure the planning teams are adhering to agreed master data management (MDM) policies to ensure a common understanding, consistency, accuracy and control in the ongoing maintenance and application use of information.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain operations team to support an effective vendor management model of 3rd party logistics providers.
  • Leverage established Supply Chain systems, processes, and tools to focus on effective materials management, planning, forecasting, network optimization, and transportation management.
  • Manage large performance improvement projects to increase production quality and capacity; Effectively communicate all project timelines, deliverables, and risks associated with the stand-up and deployment of the operation.
  • Develop short and long-term plan for capacity needs that seek to minimize total costs while maintaining service levels.
  • Support the development of repeatable, and thus scalable, plans and processes in order to speed time to market and improve operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the hiring, training and onboarding of new planning analysts and Sr. analysts into the supply chain team.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
