About The Position

AGC Electronics America (AGCEA) manufactures high-purity Silicon Carbide (SiC) Ceramics materials and CMP Slurries for the semiconductor industry. We also serve as a distributor for other AGC Electronics Materials manufactured in Japan and elsewhere. We are headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA, and are a division of AGC Flat Glass North America. We are seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Manager to lead our Shipping & Receiving Team Job Summary Manages the activities of Shipping and Receiving department to execute outbound and inbound shipment, oversee warehouse and inventory according to customer’s and/or internal specification within the required timeframe, at or under the projected cost.

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or GED equivalent
  • 5 years minimum experience in Shipping & Receiving
  • 2 years minimum management experience
  • Intermediate MS office skills
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written, interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in international and domestic shipping requirements, standard, and regulation
  • Working knowledge of ERP and scheduling systems

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience collaborating with production and purchasing teams

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Operations, Planning, Account Management Service (AMS), Purchasing and other stakeholders to execute Shipping and Receiving operations.
  • Ensure SDS compliance and GHS labeling of all products.
  • Manage inventory cycle-counts in the Shipping warehouse regularly, investigate discrepancies; lead corrective and preventive actions related to mismatch
  • Schedule and prioritize outbound and inbound shipments in timely manner according to Company procedure
  • Responsible for verifying all information as the order is processed and inputting the correct information into the computer system such as ERP system as required.
  • Stay up to date in assigned areas of knowledge pertaining to shipping and receiving operations and manufacturing fundamentals.
  • Drive continuous improvement in and operational efficiencies/accuracy; reduce operational cost while meeting the quality standard.
  • Support, improve, document and train others to achieve standard process for Shipping and Receiving.
  • Perform minor maintenance activities as required by the preventative maintenance program.
  • Perform material handling duties as a working Supervisor.
  • Support, improve, document and train others to achieve standard process for Shipping and Receiving.
  • Develop and cross train direct report staff. Establish team and individual goals and monitor performance.
  • Conduct regular team evaluations, providing coaching and feedback. Support employees in achieving goals and improving performance.
