About The Position

Copart, Inc., a global technology leader and premier online vehicle auction platform, is offering a Management Trainee - Leadership Development Program. This program is designed to build operational knowledge and leadership capability across key business areas, preparing participants for future field-based leadership roles. The program commences on July 13, 2026, with a two-week training session at the company headquarters in Dallas, Texas. Following this initial training, participants will engage in a 12-month field-based development experience at one of Copart's operational locations across the United States, with a return to Dallas midway through the program for additional training and evaluation. Throughout the program, participants will gain hands-on experience across multiple operational functions, receiving structured onboarding, ongoing mentorship, and performance feedback. Successful completion of the program, combined with business needs and individual performance, will lead to an opportunity for placement into a field management role. The role requires the ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, and demands travel and schedule flexibility.

Requirements

  • Relocation required within the continental U.S. upon completion of training
  • Demonstrated ability to learn in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors, year-round
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, high-demand environment
  • Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional or military leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support service delivery and operational efficiency
  • Analyze customer feedback and contribute to process improvements
  • Travel as needed to support operations, including response efforts during weather-related or other high-demand events
  • Assist local teams in maintaining operational continuity during peak periods
  • Support vehicle intake, processing, and documentation in accordance with company procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory, movement, and status using company systems
  • Ensure compliance with established quality, accuracy, and documentation standards
  • Assist with title processing and related documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to applicable requirements
  • Maintain organized records and documentation for operational activities
  • Support audits and compliance-related processes as needed
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Conduct and document required equipment inspections
  • Operate company equipment (e.g., forklifts, loaders) in accordance with training and safety standards
  • Support implementation of operational processes and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Follow established procedures and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Assist with daily facility operations to support efficiency and safety
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet operational goals
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as required
