About The Position

The Management Trainee position is an entry-level classification designed to prepare individuals for various roles within the City of San Diego. This role serves as a stepping stone to higher-level classifications such as Personnel Analyst, Information Systems Analyst, Finance Analyst, and Community Development Specialist. Trainees will gain essential experience and may be eligible for career advancement after fulfilling the requisite requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education (minimum completed units = 120 semester/180 quarter)
• Four years of full-time professional-level experience in relevant fields such as administrative, budgetary, community development, crime analysis/research, economics, information systems management, organization development, personnel/human resources, procurement, real estate, and/or recycling
• An equivalent combination of experience and education equaling four years
• A valid California Class C Driver License may be required at the time of hire
